Philomath Community Foundation
Policy 3-2011
Adopted 1 August 2011
SCHOLARSHIP GUIDELINES:
The Philomath Community Foundation (PCF) annually awards a number of scholarships based on the availability of funds and donor wishes.
Applicants, please follow these guidelines explicitly as not following instructions or not meeting deadlines will result in disqualification of your application.
ELIGIBILTY REQUIREMENTS:
The applicant must be a high school student who will complete his or her high school education at Philomath High School (PHS) during the year of the award.
There, at times, may be eligible scholarships for PHS students who were not able to complete their education.
Applicants must be planning to continue their education at an accredited college or university or vocational program within the upcoming school year.
Various scholarships will have slightly different criteria for applicant qualification such as a possible minimum GPA requirement or amount of community service during your high school years.
Please be aware that not all applications will automatically be awarded scholarship money. The number of scholarships awarded and the amounts of each scholarship award will be determined by a committee of the PCF Board of Directors, based on the funds available for the year and the merit of the applications.
The applicant will not be eligible to receive a scholarship award if the applicant accepts any other full four-year scholarship.
Students must have their college or university send official verification of enrollment (on school letterhead) directly to the PHS Guidance Office.
Scholarship winners will also be asked to provide payment instructions, to include the address of the Finance Office of the school you are attending.
